In the past, we Linux users had to install a separate program to adjust monitor refresh rates. Well a few days ago, I discovered that in PopOS! 21.10. There is a option now for the refresh rates. So I can now use the 144 hz that my monitor supports. I am not sure how long it has been there and could have been there the whole time. Knowing me, I did not see it before but it is real handy now, and we don’t have to use a whole other program to set it.
As soon as, I got home tonight. I had to try it out, and it works like any other program would on Linux. This does bring the Linux desktop up to the 21st century. We should expect a great future for the Linux desktop. All we need now is to have the RGB controls for the LED lights to be moved into the desktop like the refresh rate.
