Cyberpunk 2077

I know, I know that this game ended up with some bad rap because how the state of the game was at launch. I was disappointed about the launch because I spent several years thirsting for a release date. Endless hours was spent looking for clues and screenshots of the game, and did I say waiting for years. When the game launched I was not able to get the game for the reason of that I play on Linux. I had to wait several months later before I could experience the game for myself.

That day came to fruition with the release of Proton 5.13-6 and Mesa 21. You had to have both before the game would start up. The moment I heard this news. I knew I would throw down the 60 dollars and experience the game I had been waiting for such a long time to come out. After this amount of time lapse before I could play the game, the developers had already fixed most of the problems. So my experience with the game comes from the fixed version.

The game has not disappointed me yet. The world is excellently crafted to my vision of the game. Also, the story-line is captivating like I knew it would from the so-called-leaks from other content creatures had expressed. To me, it is well worth the money, and it has become a new favorite game in my collection. Now, I would like to see merchandise come out for the game to add to my collection of game memorabilia; other than, the few items that are available. That is just my thing of collecting merchandise from games that I enjoy playing.

Now to the specs that I use to play the game. I have a Ryzen 7 2700 paired with Radeon RX 570 powered by PopOS! 21.10. This configuration has not failed me yet in playing games. I would like to upgrade my graphics card but that will have to wait until 2077 when the prices come down. If you are on the bench about this game, I do feel you from the negative press around this game. I would recommend this game today since it has been fixed. It does work great on Linux; as long as, you stick to Proton 5.13-6 and Mesa 21 for you AMD fans.

Update: There was a update to Cyberpunk, and I had to move proton to 6.3-8 to get it to play again.
