Azzaro: Wanted by Night

This is a new fragrance that I have picked up this year. I know–I know that I am late to the punch on this fragrance since it was released a few years ago. This fragrance has been on my radar for a few years now. I first heard about this fragrance in 2018, and it sounded like a fragrance that I would like to wear in the Fall/Winter months. In my area, I could not find this fragrance to be able to get a whiff of it. It wasn’t until about a year ago that I was able to get a sniff of this amazing fragrance. Therefore, I have been on the look out for this fragrance, and I did find it on sale through FragranceX ($43 USD).

Here is the fragrance not break down:

  • The opening has Cinnamon, Mandarin Orange, Lavender and Lemon ( I can’t detect the Lemon)
  • The mid notes has Fruity Notes, Incense, Red Cedar and Cumin
  • The base notes has Tobacco, Vanilla, Cedar, Leather, Benzoin, Iso E Super, Cypress and Patchouli

I have only worn this fragrance a few times since it has been in my possession. However, it is very different from what Azzaro has released in the past, and it is beginning to become one of my favorites. This fragrance does show up in the top selling fragrances for men. With that in mind, here is my thoughts on the fragrance.

In the opening, I can smell the Cinnamon and Lavender. It is fairly subtle to my senses but it may come across different with your sense of smell. I really like the Cinnamon; especially with holidays coming up. The middle notes are complex but smell amazing. For me, it is hard to detect all the different notes but it does come off as a fruity melody to me. I do like this combination in this fragrance. The base notes which last almost all day are the key notes of this fragrance, and it is totally enjoyable to smell. I do pick up the Tobacco and Leather notes. The rest of the notes to me blend in together making it smell simple but complex. It is like having Fall on your skin.

If you are looking for something different this Fall, I do recommend this fragrance.
